German Intensive Evening Courses Individual Training

TERMS AND CONDITIONS – German Intensive

Registration, Attendance Agreement: Early registration is recommended. Only our forms are valid for registration purposes. The participation contract is concluded when the course fee for the booked course period has been paid in full and Studio MONDIALE has confirmed the registration.

Booking Confirmation / Confirmation of Participation: For a processing fee of 5 €, the person making the booking will receive a confirmation of registration or booking the course, provided that the entire course fee has been paid. In addition, a confirmation of participation can be issued after completion of the course for an administration fee of 5 €. If the course was attended more than six months ago, the processing fee for a confirmation document is 10 €.

Payment: The course fee must be paid in full upon registration. If the student arrives later than on the first day of the course, he or she undertakes to inform the school hereof. Without this notice, the student’s place in the course could be otherwise utilized, after or on commencement of the course. In such a case, the student bears any incidental costs.

Minimum & Maximum Number of Course Participants: Studio MONDIALE reserves the right to refrain from running the course, if the participant’s chosen course level has a low number of participants, i.e. cannot take place due to capacity reasons. In such a case, the course fee for the relevant course module will be refunded or transferred to the following course month. For the daily intensive course German, in accordance with availability, a course with reduced hours may still be scheduled for groups containing less participants than the minimum number required. The school does not accept any liability for any consequential damages, due to courses not taking place. Course places will be allocated until the maximum number of participants has been reached according to the registration date, provided that the placement test has also been completed. If there are no more places available because the maximum number of participants has been reached, the course fee for the relevant course module will be refunded or optionally used for the following course month.

Placement Test: The placement level test takes place before the course commences, on the proviso that there is a valid registration and that the course fee has been paid. A course seat cannot be reserved without a placement test.

Minimum Course Duration: The minimum course duration for a daily intensive German course is the agreed total duration of the course specified in the registration. It is not possible to shorten the course duration. If teaching hours are not utilized, they are not refundable.

Course Breaks: One-week course breaks may occur due to regulation of the school calendar. They will be published in good time, and no additional costs are incurred. No classes are held on statutory holidays.

Canceled Classes: Studio MONDIALE is not liable for classes not taking place due to force majeure.

Liability & Insurance: The school is not liable for any accidents or illness which may occur within the duration of the course period. The participant shall be directly liable for damages of any kind, which he/she has caused, to the injured party. Studio MONDIALE can take recourse if is included in any claim/s for damages caused by the participant. The school is not responsible for lost items. The course fee does not include insurance cover. The course participant is independently responsible for taking out e.g. accident and liability insurance.

Cancellation and Rebooking Conditions:

Rebooking: Rebooking to a later start of the contract period is only possible up to 1 week before the originally specified start date of the contract period. The fee for rebooking the contract period is 50 €.

Ordinary termination: Before the start of the contract period, cancellation is generally permitted against payment of a cancellation fee. If the reason for cancellation or non-participation in class lies in the participant’s sphere (e.g. legal impediments, business or personal obligations, travel, etc.), the cancellation fee is as follows:

Up to 14 days prior to start of the contract period: 100 €
Within the 14 days prior to start of the contract period: 50 % of total course fee
At commencement of the contract period: a reduction of the minimum course duration (see above) is not possible, so the costs for the full contract period, as per contract, must be settled in full. The participant is not entitled to a refund of the course fee or participation in a language course on another course date.

Extraordinary termination by the participant: The participant has the right to terminate the contract for good cause. An important reason in that sense exists in particular if the visa application submitted by them is rejected and they submit the rejection to Studio MONDIALE up to one week before the start of the course. If the participant cancels the contract extraordinarily, the course fee paid by them will be refunded, minus a processing fee of 100 €.

Interruption of the contract: It is not possible to interrupt the total contract period selected in the registration. This also applies to the influence of unforeseen events in the home country of the booking party. In the event of illness, the costs of the current course month will not be reimbursed. If the illness persists during the current course month, a contract interruption is checked as a gesture of goodwill if a medical certificate has been presented to the school. This goodwill does not apply if the number of participants falls below the minimum number of students for the corresponding class.

Any cancellations, requests for changes or rebookings of a registration are required to be in written form in order to be effective.

Special agreements are only valid and binding if they are confirmed in writing by School Management.

The participants’ data will be stored for internal administrative purposes in accordance with our data protection declaration. The place of jurisdiction is Darmstadt.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS – Evening Courses

Registration, Attendance Agreement: Early registration is recommended. Only our forms are valid for registration purposes. The registration may only be completed online on our website. The applicable deposit is to be paid by bank transfer when registering online. The attendance agreement is concluded when the deposit is made and Studio MONDIALE confirms the registration in writing, and such registration has not been opposed within two weeks thereof. Studio MONDIALE reserves the right to waive the presentation of the course, if the participant’s particular course has less than the minimum number of participants, i.e. cannot take place due to lack of capacity. In such a case the deposit will be returned or transferred to the following month.

Schedule: The schedule for each booked course will be set, at the latest, on the first day of the course, for a period of four or five weeks. The number of hours cited refers to 45-minute lesson units. The course schedule will be communicated to the participant by telephone. A verbal commitment from the participant is binding.

Course Extension: There will be an automatic extension of the course by one more course block (from the next course start indicated in each case) if the school has not received written notice of cancellation by the official cancellation date and if there is a follow-up course that corresponds to the language level of the participant. Exceptions exist for limited promotions.

Payment: The course fee for each course module is due, at the latest, on the first day of the course module. Should the course fee not be paid in full by the end of the first week of the course, the participant’s place (reservation) in the course, as well as the course deposit, is forfeited. In such a case, the school reserves the right to charge the participant the full price of the course.

Minimum Number of Participants: If the minimum number of participants is not enrolled for a particular course, the school reserves the right to waive the presentation of such course. In such a case, the school will notify the registered participants without delay, at the latest on the first day of the pending course. No classes are held on statutory holidays.

Attestations and Certificates: Attestations and certificates of participation in language courses can be issued on request, immediately after the end of the course. A fee of 5 € is charged for all certification. If the course took place more than six months ago, an administration fee of 10 € applies for all certification.

Minimum Course Duration: The minimum duration of a group language course is 4 to 5 weeks, and will be specified at the beginning of the stated course date. It is not possible to shorten the course duration. For planning purposes, various course blocks of five-week duration each, are scheduled every year. Please refer to the course programs for this information. The regular price increases by 25% in such cases. Special conditions apply to irregular course entrance and limited promotions.

Cancellation and rebooking conditions:

Rebooking: Rebooking to a later start of the contract period is only possible up to one week before the originally specified start date of the contract period. The rebooking fee is 25,00 €.

Up to 14 days prior to start of the contract period: the deposit
Within the 14 days prior to start of the contract period: the deposit + 50 % of the course fee for the upcoming course module
At commencement of the contract period (unlimited/open contracts): your language course has an unlimited duration until you actively terminate the contract. You can cancel the contract with effect from the end of a course module by notifying us at the beginning of the same course module (i.e. usually 1 month in advance). A notice period of at least 4 weeks therefore applies. If you cancel your language course, the deposit you paid upon registration will be deducted from the course fee for your last course module.
At commencement of the contract period (fixed-term contracts): a reduction of the minimum course duration (see above) is not possible, so the deposit will be forfeited and the costs for the current course module must be settled in full. The participant is not entitled to a refund of the course fee or participation in a language course on another course date.

Interruption of the contract: It is not possible to interrupt the total contract term (for limited contracts) or the current course module (for unlimited contracts). TERMS AND CONDITIONS – Individual Training

Registration, Attendance Agreement: Early registration is recommended. Only forms of Studio MONDIALE language school are valid for registration purposes. Upon registration, a deposit in the amount of the cost of the first lesson is required. This to be paid in cash at the Studio MONDIALE language school office. The registration is valid once the deposit has been paid, Studio MONDIALE has confirmed the contract in writing, and no objection/stop-payment has been raised within two weeks of receipt. For language programs, which will commence within 3 working days (e.g. CV’S and job application training) of application, a deposit in the amount of the total fee is due. Only then can the planning and implementation of the program be guaranteed.

Scope of Lessons: The minimum duration for a booked appointment is 1 x 90 minutes (2 teaching units/lessons). The overall scope and duration of the language program is confirmed on registration. The total specified lesson plan must be kept, a reduction or extension of this period is not possible. For programs in which no overall schedule has been confirmed, ensuing lessons will be set from one appointment to the next, and we cannot guarantee reservation of your requested lesson times. Each lesson must be paid in advance.

Payment: In the case of private or individual training, full fees must be paid for all booked lessons, before the second lesson commences. If the participant wishes, an overall invoice for all lessons can be generated, which must be paid within the notice period. For programs of more lengthy duration, partial payments are (e.g. monthly payments) can be arranged, but only with the express consent of Studio MONDIALE.

Course Extension: After the initial contract, an extension may be requested by arrangement. The payment model remains the same. Programs with no set lesson plan, can be canceled via a four-week notice period. The school requires a minimum booking of 1 x 90 minutes per week. The school, in return, reserves the right to early cancellation of the contract in case of irregularities.

Cancellation: Prior to commencement of the full program booked, cancellation is permitted, in principle, against payment of a withdrawal fee. The cancellation fee for cancellation:

up to 6 weeks before course commencement, is free of charge. This includes course changes/re-bookings, cancellation and postponement
6 to 4 weeks before the course commences: 10% cancellation / processing fee (each fee is calculated per the total course fee)
4 to 2 weeks before the course commences: 30% cancellation / processing fee
2 to 1 week prior to course commencement: 50% cancellation / processing fee
the last 6 days prior to course commencement, the full course fee is payable.

Training programs of open-ended duration may be terminated or paused with 4 appointments notice in advance.

Cancellation / postponement: While a program is running, cancellation or postponement of individual lessons is possible. However, this needs to be communicated to Studio MONDIALE, no later than 24 hours prior to the booked lesson. All cancellations or postponements less than 24 hours before the booked lesson, will be charged in full.

Exceptions to this are lessons booked on a Saturday or a Monday. Here the notification must be received by Studio MONDIALE before 16:00 on the Thursday before the lesson (for Saturday lessons) and before 16:00 the previous Friday (for Monday lessons). A postponed lesson, i.e. a lesson that has been re-booked once, cannot be postponed for a second time, and therefore expires.

Intensive training programs cannot be postponed or canceled after commencement of a course.

No classes are held on statutory holidays.

Extraordinary termination by the participant: The participant has the right to terminate the contract extraordinarily for good cause. If the participant terminates the teaching contract extraordinarily, they will be refunded the course fee paid by them minus a processing fee.

Any cancellations, requests for changes or rebookings of a registration are required to be in text form in order to be effective.
